Dumais Made

Founded in 2017, Dumais Made is a ceramics studio that makes pieces by hand. A practice that began with lamps and has since evolved to furniture, objects, and accessories that balance form and function.

The forms in this collection represent the ongoing Dumais Made vocabulary of cylinders, cubes, stacked volumes, folded planes, and architectural shapes, but the surfaces reach backward and forward through the breadth of the studio’s work. There are rolled textures and patterns, exposed clay, poured and layered glazes, handprints, metallic surfaces and combinations of glazes that have developed through years of experimentation.
